Despite the New Zealand summary for February showing a very strong quake correlation with the forecasted risk locations from the previous 20-27 January forecast period, the wider Pacific on the other hand showed little concrete correlation with the previous forecast period.
The 2 February Southern Chile 6.2 was in a risk location from the previous forecast period but not much else correlates in any obvious way.
A major Mag 6 quake period evolved in February south of Fiji with typically deep quakes from the region likely to cause more action in the region during the next quake period, including Kermadecs, Tonga and possibly Vanuatu.
