This low confidence forecast was a fizzer. Late, very weak driving conditions turned up on 16 January. The Cook Strait 4.0, widely felt around Wellington was a leftover of the 12 and 14 January Wairarapa quakes. The eruptions of Hunga Ha'apai and Kermadecs (?) are now over.
