Magnitude 6+ risk areas are New Zealand, Kermadec Islands, Tonga, Fiji, Santa Cruz Islands, Papua New Guinea, Banda Sea, Northern Philippines, Taiwan, Southwest of Japan, Colombia, Titicaca, Southern Chile, Scotia Sea.
Volcanoes may erupt. Fuego, Java, Flores.

This forecast was a late extension of the long and active 31 December - 5 January forecast period but quakes ended on 5 January.
Volcanoes were moderate. Indonesia is hot, many volcanoes are producing ash.
Indonesian vulcanologists are warning (13 January) of an eruption of Egon on Flores, confirming observations from this Service for upcoming activity on Flores. Good success there.
