Magnitude 4+ risk areas are East Cape, Bay of Plenty, Rotorua, Taumarunui, Cook Strait, Kekerengu, Christchurch, Arawhata Valley, Northwest Arm Te Anau.
Volcanoes quiet.

Update. 3 April 2330 NZST.
The forecast period is extended to 4 April.
Local quakes were quiet today.
Cook Strait near Wellington has become a potential hotspot.
Quakes may gain in frequency, become widespread and lunar modulated to low tide from 7-9 April.
