Magnitude 4+ risk areas are East Cape, Bay of Plenty, Rotorua, Taumarunui, Volcanic Plateau, Taupo, Urewera, Fiordland.
Possible minor eruption White Island.
Quakes may be infrequent.
Forecast confidence = low.

Summary.
The strong 10-16 May volcano period has ended.
Local quakes faded away today.
Volcanic activity is also fading.
Geonet noticed today the Crater Lake at Ruapehu is cooling.
The unconfirmed Kermadec undersea eruption is over and White Island is also cooling.
Solar driving conditions are fading but fluctuating so action is possible but very unlikely 18-19 May.
A one day forecast period begins 20 May.
