2 February. Fiordland 4.0 (USGS), Blenheim 3.9, Murchison 3.9, Kermadecs 6.5, February 3. Kermadecs 5.1 Very strong lunar conditions gave excellent tidal correlations with nearly every summarised quake within 1.5 hours of low tide and a couple high tide. Solar activity by contrast was very mild but did cook up a late Kermadec quake storm, widely felt across Aotearoa.
