Magnitude 6 risk areas are Cheviot, Culverden, Kaikoura, Seaward Kaikouras, Ward, Cape Campbell, North of Cape Campbell, Northeast of Cape Campbell, South of Wellington.
Magnitude 5 risk areas are Opotiki, Rotorua.
Magnitude 4 risk areas are Fiordland, Wairoa, East Cape, Atiamuri, Whakatane, Eketahuna, Dannevirke, Waipukurau.
The very long 5-12 March quake period may not be over.
An isolated big quake is possible.

Solar quake driving conditions are steadily declining this morning and have mostly fallen below the threshold for quakes to occur.
The forecast is maintained at low confidence.

Summary.
The 5-12 March quake period has ended.
Quakes and eruptions are likely to be very subdued or absent for at least a week.
March and April are expected to provide some very active quake periods.
