Magnitude 4 risk areas are Hollyford River, Upper Hokitika River, Broken River, Culverden, Cheviot, Kaikoura, Seaward Kaikouras, Ward, Cape Campbell, Seddon, South of Wellington, Northern Cook Strait, Atiwhakatu Stream, South Taranaki, Eketahuna, Dannevirke, Waipukurau, Porangahau, East Cape, Opotiki, Whakatane, Rotorua, Tokoroa, Taumarunui.
Rain forecast for Auckland, Northland late on 2 August may be very heavy.

Solar quake driving conditions are due this afternoon.
Gisborne is added to Mag 4 risk locations.

Whitemans Valley is added to Mag 4 risk areas.

Solar quake driving conditions arrived on time but very weak and not enough to drive Mag 4 local activity.
Mag 4 quakes seem unlikely on 3 August unless solar conditions suddenly strengthen.
