Magnitude 4 risk areas are Doubtful Sound, Lake Te Anau, Milford Sound, Culverden, Hanmer, Seaward Kaikouras, Ward, Lower Awatere Valley, Northeast of Seddon, Lake Grassmere, Cape Campbell, Northern Cook Strait, Upper Hutt, Wellington, Eketahuna, Dannevirke, Waipukurau, East Cape, Opotiki, Whakatane, Rotorua, Tokoroa, Taumarunui.
Volcanoes quiet.
Quakes may build slowly over several days.

Update. 25 September 10.00pm
Local quakes were quiet on 25 September.
Solar quake driving conditions arrived on cue but were weak and not enough to drive quakes.
Quakes seem unlikely on 26 September unless conditions change.
The next quake period begins late on 28 September and will probably have similar risk locations and magnitudes.

26 September.
Tokomaru Bay 4.5 2.39am
A significant small quake arrived early 26 September, partly meeting the forecast profile.
The period was however a wobbly one from a forecasters point of view.
Limited location success (you decide) and ongoing Pacific quakes after the forecast was dropped.
New solar conditions are here late 27 September.
