Quake Summary. 25 May-2 June, 2014. 25 May. Haast 4.5 28 May. North Wairarapa 4.7 29 May. Kermadecs 5.3 30 May. Kermadecs 5.1, Fiordland 4.5 2 June. Kermadecs 5.3, East Cape 4.4 Quake conditions are changing at last. the constant background of Magnitude 4+ quakes from last October are changing back to bigger quakes spaced apart, more big volcanic eruptions and easier forecasting (hopefully) such as during the Cook Strait/Seddon forecast periods. Watch out for much colder weather and wilder weather swings than forecasted by standard weather services.
