Magnitude 4 risk locations are Lake Te Anau, Dart River, Kaikoura, Northern Seaward Kaikouras, Cape Campbell, Motueka, North of Arapawa Island, Dannevirke, Waipukurau, Porangahau, Southwest of Taumarunui, Taumarunui, Taupo, Atiamuri, Rotorua, Tauranga, Opotiki, East Cape.
West of Taranaki 4.5 6.31am
East Cape 3.8 4.47pm
Northeast of East Cape 4.1 7.39pm
The forecast went looking for action out west and the West of Taranaki 4.5 followed in a rare location.
Local quakes have picked up dramatically on 19 August, following the Fiji 8.2.
High magnitude in western locations seems possible on 20 August with the arrival of new and possibly strong solar quake driving conditions.
