Peru 8.0 3 June 2019

The biggest world quake this year on 27 May terrified people in Peru and was felt across a large part of South America.
Luckily the quake was moderately deep at 114km so was felt at the surface as typically very long, rolling, dizzying and damage was limited.
The quake was never on any forecast from this Service, conditions were quiet and the Service was offline for a few days.
It is unlikely that Inland Northern Peru would have been a risk location if a forecast was offered....the area has complex movements with plenty of questionmarks yet.
Thanks.
