The period was very volcanic at the expense of quakes which were very mild.
Eruptions came in three clusters.
1. Kamchatka Peninsula (Kliuchevskoi, Karymsky, Shiveluch)
2. Latin America (Turrialba, Fuego)
3. Java (Krakatau, Merapi, Semeru)
The Krakatau eruption was substantial but with only a couple of grainy webcam images, no tsunami and COVID-19 lockdown, the eruption never made news.
The sea level crater lake is now filled in with new lava and a new cone growing following the collapse of the 200 meter high cone during the 22 December 2018 eruption and tsunami.
Latin America gave eruptions but frustratingly not at target volcano San Cristobal.
Three nearby Kamchatka Peninsula volcanos erupting at once is uncommon....although two is common at this volcanic hotspot.
California remained active during the period but inland at the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Quakes were very mild as the energy went into the volcanos.
Kermadec Islands 6.0 was good location success from a narrow risk location base, coming as spaceweather faded out.
