This quake period has been a series of forecasting mistakes. A forecast could have been posted on 18 September, it was always going to be southern hemisphere The 19 Sept Levin 4.4 confirmed the beginning of the period. Conditions kept building and this service finally got on board on 22 Sept after the White Island double quake. The period is now nearly over and a new one immediately begins.
