Pacific quakes were present during the period, showing sluggish response.
The Nevada 6.5 was fortunately in a remote location so no damage.
The Nevada 6.5 significantly continues a period of rare Western USA inland quakes...Texas, Salt Lake City, Idaho and now Nevada within a few weeks.
Forecasts have tried to keep ahead of this USA sequence but risk locations have fallen frustratingly short.
The forecasters played it safe in Southern California risk locations, getting to Mag 4 at Los Angeles.
Pacific eruptions have eased although a short sharp eruption at Semeru shows Java Zone volcanos are still hot.
