Heavy quake action in Tonga and Kermadec Islands regions has been followed by New Zealand quakes.
Bay of Plenty and East Cape have become very active with the arrival of the forecasted 24 October spaceweather.
The Turakirae Head 3.5 was felt in Wellington and good low magnitude location success.
Stronger spaceweather is expected 26 October with more local action possible and high magnitude.
The forecast period is extended to 26 October, a new map is being processed with changed risk locations and higher risk magnitudes in Bay of Plenty..

The early part of a long forecast period came and went with little action.
Spaceweather picked up briefly late on 21 October as the forecast was posted.
Conditions were mild and faded quickly.
Strong new conditions are here now and more due late 26 October.
Risk locations and magnitudes are retained.
Pacific risk locations are maintained, an updated Pacific map will be posted later.

Forecast.
Magnitude 4 risk locations are Northwest of Snares Islands, Doubtful Sound, Northwest Arm Te Anau, Pyke River, Arawhata River, Murchison, St Arnaud, Northwest of D"Urville Island, Offshore Turakirae Head, Kapiti, Mana, Dannevirke, Waipukurau, Tokomaru Bay, East Cape, Opotiki, Rotorua, Kaimai Range, Tokoroa, Atiamuri, Southern Urewera, Taumarunui, North of Motiti Island.
Volcanos quiet.
The period is likely to be brief.
