The big December volcanic period is losing heat.
Eruptions eased during the period, the lava lake at Kilauea has stopped filling as the lava flow slows.
Quakes were subdued as they tend to be during volcanic periods.
Biggest quake in Southern Chile came after the peak but gave excellent location success from a low number of risk locations.
Spaceweather was present but weak during the period.
New spaceweather is due late 30 December and could drive a last volcanic burst before volcanos cool.

Forecast. 24-25 December.
Magnitude 6 risk locations are Macquarie Island, Kermadec Islands, Tonga, South of Fiji, Southeastern Honshu, Gulf of California, Nicaragua, South of Valdivia.
Volcanic activity may increase.
Kilauea, Etna, Ruapehu, Lewotolo, Semeru, Sinabung, Suwanosejima, Sakarujima, Kliuchevskoi, Shiveluch, Sangay, Villarrica.
The forecast period may be extended.
