No forecast was offered for the period due to the Ruapehu fieldtrip.
Spaceweather arrived on cue and a final burst of eruptions resulted as the big Pacific December volcanic period runs out of steam.
Eruptions were all low level, including a few steam puffs at White Island and possibly Ruapehu.
The Croatia 6.4 has caused major damage across the Balkans with many buildings and infrastructure destroyed.
Fortunately for such damage "only" 7 deaths were reported.
Spaceweather faded early, quakes and eruptions faded away in response for several days.
A new forecast period begins 6 January.
