The forecast focus on Vanuatu, Fiji, Kermadecs was justified with most of the Pacific quake action falling in the region.
Four paroxysms in 4 days at Etna are a record according to local seismologists.
Despite only moderate eruptions at most volcanos the 2 month long global volcanic period doesn't seem to be ending.
The worst Northern Hemisphere in a century is hardly making news...record snow and cold doesn't fit climate change models.
A State of Emergency was declared in Texas after the cold weather burst pipes, cut power and gas, leaving at least 8 million people huddling in their frozen homes.

Vanuatu and Hunter Island are hotspots during the period.
Excellent location success at Efate and nearby Erromango.
Hunter Island has predictably offered up a Mag 6 aftershock following the big 11 February Mag 7.7.
The big news is double paroxyms at Etna.
Spectacular lava fountains blew to several hundred meters above the crater.
Spaceweather driving the action arrived on cue and was very mild.
Pacific quakes are likely to become very infrequent ahead of new spaceweather and following quakes late on 22 February.
Early signs of sunspot activity are showing up as an active March aurora season rapidly approaches.
The dramatic December-February volcanic period is likely to pick up intensity in March...anything could happen.
The coldest winter in a century has gripped the Northern Hemisphere along with the lowest solar activity in 200 years...when the Sun cools, Earth cools.

New Zealand has had cold southerly weather and a cool summer for most places including a recent big windstorm, 140km/h gusts at Picton beat an attempt to berth the Picton Ferry, the Captain gave up and spent the rest of the day sailing up and down Queen Charlotte Sound waiting for the wind to subside.
The winter weather catastrophe is grotesquely underreported on mainstream media...climate change experts are conspicuously silent although one or two are saying this is to be expected...the wages must be good.

Magnitude 6 risk locations are South of Kermadec Islands, Kermadec Islands, South of Fiji, Fiji, Southern Tonga, Hunter Island, Efate, New Britain, Southern Sumatra, Northern Sumatra, Eastern Honshu, Costa Rica, Panama, Northern Peru, Atacama.
Ongoing eruptions at familiar volcanos are likely to continue.
Lewotolo, Merapi, Raung, Sinabung, Sakurajima, Ebeko, Pacaya, Fuego, Reventador, Sangay, Etna.
The period may build slowly to a peak 21 February.
