A strong burst of local and Pacific quakes on 20 March came with a coronal hole solar windstream.
Local quakes then eased back until a second burst arrived on 23 March.
Deep quakes on the southern end of the Kermadec Ridge and at Kawerau may be precursor for following action in the next days and weeks.
South Island action seems most likely in Fiordland.
Solar conditions are likely to pick up again from 24 March, building over several days.
