Local quakes were quiet for several days until moderate spaceweather arrived on 17 and 21 September.
The 17 September Christchurch 3.6 was felt across the city and the biggest quake there for a while.
A quake swarm at East of East Cape are aftershocks to the 5 March East of East Cape 7.3.
White Island continues to throw low level ash.
Strong new spaceweather is due late 24 September and may build up over several days.
