Mild spaceweather arriving late on 9 October has created a big quake period.
No forecast was offered.
This Service is unable to forecast very deep quakes such as the Hunter Island 7.3.
The Tokyo 5.9 was 80km deep and caused some infrastructure damage, burst pipes etc at the surface and strongly felt in the city.
The Alaska Peninsula 6.9 is an extension of the 29 July Alaskan Peninsula 8.2
The Hawaii 6.2 may be a precursor to more action at Kilauea or Mauna Loa.
