A Pacific forecast wasn't offered but the New Zealand forecast was an indicator of impending spaceweather and quakes.
Concurrent Philippines and Sumatra quakes happened as the forecast was posted and just before magnetic conditions changed and the geomagnetic storm suddenly ended for two days, reconnecting again just ahead of the Japan 7.3
The 13 March Kp6 geomagnetic storm brought a swag of quakes, following nearly three months of low quake activity.
The previous Mag 7 was way back on 29 December 2021 South Banda Sea 7.3.
Two new volcanic eruptions at Bezymianny and Manam broke a quiet volcanic spell.
The 2021-2022 global volcanic period was fading with the weak solstice spaceweather.
Turbulent equinoxal spaceweather always connects better with Earth, resulting in spring/autumn stormy weather, more quakes, eruptions and auroras.
A relatively small M2 flare from sunspot AR2964 drove the quake period.
For comparison, the 11 March 2011 Japan 9.0 and tsunami was driven by an Earth directed X1 flare on 9 March and series of long duration M flares.
Additionally, the 22 February 2011 Christchurch 6.3 also came just a week after an Earth directed X2 flare.
February and March 2011 were big solar flare and quake months.
