Despite early Kp6 geomagnetic storms, mild local quakes came late and after the forecast was dropped.
Good location success at Otira and South of Kermadecs however, confirming once again the forecast rule that quakes after a forecast period ends or is dropped are more likely in risk locations from that period.
Tectonic and weather response is often sluggish outside of spring and autumn aurora seasons and this period was no exception.
New spaceweather is due 17 August.
