Early Kp6 auroras weren't enough to get an early tectonic response and the forecast was dropped just as quakes began to pick up.
Quakes were just under Mag 6 from 13 August, picking up and moving into SW Pacific risk locations later on with excellent location success on 15 August.
Despite the forecast being dropped early, the forecast rule that quakes after a period ends are more likely in risk locations from that period has held.
New spaceweather from filament eruptions and a coronal hole windstream is due 17 August.
