Quake Summary. 21-27 Nov, 2014. 21 Nov. Molucca Sea 6.9, Taranaki 3.9. 23 Nov. North of White Island 4.4, Japan 6.2. 24 Nov. East of East Cape 4.7, Bardarbunga 5.2. 26 Nov. East Cape 4.6, Kermadecs 4.8. 27 Nov. North of East Cape 4.9, Molucca Sea 6.8. 30 Nov. North of East Cape 5.1, 4.8. 1 Dec. Kermadecs 4.6. The period 21-27 Nov. was very active near East Cape and globally as the Bear Claw sunspot gave influence. Significant global weather and volcanic activity also. The period from 30 Nov. has become increasingly active as a new quake period builds in the East Cape/ Bay of Plenty areas. No forecasts were posted during the period due to the "Startup Repairs" forecasting system being replaced with a fast, new system.The big Japan quake on 23 Nov. made news but no damage. The bigger Molucca Sea sequence was luckily remote.
