Local and Pacific quakes were subdued following the moderate Kp6 arrival of a weaker than expected coronal mass ejection from an X2.8 flare.
Biggest local quake early in the period was near Otira risk location however.
New spaceweather from CH1194 is due 23 December and could bring some mild local quake action.

Magnitude 4 risk locations are East of East Cape, Tolaga Bay, Gisborne, Waipukurau, Porangahau, South of Wanganui, Cook Strait, Otira, Offshore Milford, NW Arm Te Anau, Snares Islands.
Possible minor quake swarm Ruapehu. Confidence=low.
A significant Kp7 geomagnetic storm from an X2.8 flare is likely.
