The 18 December eruption at Reykjanes Peninsula came with the arrival of Kp6 geomagnetic storm.
Uplift at Svartsengi had reached the same point as the 10 December uplift and rifting/subsidence episode.
The volcano was primed to rift again or erupt with new spaceweather.
A 3.5 km long fissure with much more lava than nearby Fagradalsfjall 2021 broke out just north of Grindavik with 100 meter high fountains.
The eruption ended on 22 December.
Pacific volcanos and quakes were otherwise underwhelming with poor location success.
A new forecast period is due to begin 23 December with the arrival of a coronal hole windstream from CH1194.

Volcanic activity may increase. Krakatau, Marapi, Aoba, Kilauea, Reykjanes, Etna.
